About
My name is Liz Bedford. I love contemplating our human connection to things. I love to connect with other humans who get excited about material culture. I love classification, organization, and discovering treasures that have been tucked away for safe-keeping.
This site is an exploration of connectivity between humans and the random objects, situations, collections, encounters, and seemingly unrelated sets of circumstances in which we interact with each other on a daily basis.
I have a Master of Arts in Fashion and a Master of Science in Information Sciences in Archival Practice.
I spent a decade in NYC working as a designer in the clothing industry. I was drawn to that career because of my love for sewing. I am able to make garments, which I’ve noticed is a fairly niche skill. I enjoy clothing preservation, buying and selling vintage clothing, and care of textiles.
My new career involves managing personal, private archives within individual’s homes. We all have so much history to share, preserve, and care for within our own homes. I love caring for others cherished items and career collections.
